Gong Bath Meditation

The vibrational energy of gongs is an ancient and powerful tool used to help still the mind and deeply relax the body. In the right hands, the Gong generates otherworldly tones which catalyze a state of floating, timeless bliss.

No meditation experience required, simply let the beautiful and unique sounds wash over you. This event is for anyone who can silently lie down or sit still for an hour. (And please, no children younger than 16 years old.)

 

Our performer for the evening, PJ Weinstein (He/She) has been a professional DJ since 2010 and has dabbled in live music performance for almost 30 years. Since 2016 he’s produced Ecstatic Dance Corvallis, a semi-monthly movement meditation practice. He brings all of that experience in creating his own approach to Gong Bath journeys, with a wide range of mallets on a 36" Wu Xing Gong made by Broder Oetken for Meinl (Germany) and a 36” Sun Gong made by Sean Aceto (USA).

❃ Doors open by 7:00pm. Be sure to arrive in time to settle in.
❃ Doors close to arrivals at 7:15pm (no exceptions)
❃ Gong Bath Sound Meditation from 7:15 to 8:15pm

❃ Sharing circle and integration from 8:15 to 8:30pm

If you plan to lie down, bring a thick yoga mat or small camping pad, a blanket, and a pillow (please, no wide camping mattresses or air mattresses)

If you plan to sit down, bring a meditation cushion or portable camping chair.

Optional: bring an eye mask or blindfold
Please do not attend if you have an active cough (it interferes with the gong sounds), or any other cold/allergy symptoms (for covid safety).
